In Fig. 10.11 we have shown a tube bundle being used as a horizontal tube condenser. The total heat transfer rate is designated as QH. The outer diameter of the tubes is 1 in. and they are 4 ft long. If the condenser is set at a vertical position under the same operating conditions the total heat transfer rate is Qv. Determine the ratio of Qv to QH assuming that the flow is always laminar.
