Scenario
Jonathan is a sales manager and he has to supervise 20 people. Yesterday, he was informed that Suzy (one of his salespersons) had a fight with a client. When he was asked by his boss to make a decision about this case, he replied: "I need some time; please let me find out what actually happened first. I promise I will let you know about my decision, once I find out the cause of the problem".
The question required me to identify the problem in this scenario and the possible causes of the problem. I am not really sure what the problem is. I believe it could be a few problems such as ineffective leadership, ineffective hiring which are in regards to what Suzy had done. Or is the problem actually referring to Jonathan's reply towards his boss?
Is the question trying to let me put myself in Jonathan's shoe and find out the possible causes of the problem? (Which I'm now not sure what is) If that's the case, how should I answer the question of what was the problem in this scenario?
