A steam engine takes in superheated steam at 290oC and discharges condensed steam from its cylinder at 70oC. Its efficiency is 20 percent.

a) Find the ratio of this efficiency to maximum possible efficiency for these temperatures?

b) If the useful power output of the engine is 210 kW, find how much heat does the engine discharge to its surroundings in 1.5 hour?
