In an experiment to find out the effect of concentration on the reaction rate, we are asked to organize 10mL of solution A and 10 mL of solution B. Then we mix both of the solution to observe the how fast is the change of the color of solution occur. For the following steps, we alter the concentration of solution A by adding 9mL of solution A and 1mL of distilled water. For trial number 3, we add 8mL of solution A and 2mL of distilled water. The total volume for test tube A is 10mL. The volume of solution B remains constant which is 10mL. The different concentration of Solution A determines the rate of reaction. However now I want to ask. Explain why is it important to keep the total volume of the solution in 10mL?
