Sandy explored the effect of two fluorescent dyes on both the synthesis of benzpinacol as well as the chemiluminescent reaction. Dye 1 quenched the benzpinacol reaction as well as gave a green fluorescence in the chemiluminescent reaction. Dye 2 failed to quench the synthesis of benzpinacol however afforded a red flurorescence in the chemiluminescent reaction.
