You wish to prepare a 0.5 liter solution of an acetate buffer having a pH of 5.0 and a concentration of .1M. The pKa of acetic acid is 4.74. How many moles of acetic acid and sodium acetate would you have to add to prepare this buffer?

To 10 mL of the buffer prepared in the problem above, you have added 4 mL of 0.025 M HCl, what will the pH be following this addition?
