Dry Coke composed of 4% inert solids (ash), 90% carbon, and 6% hydrogen at 40C is burned in a furnace with dry air at 40C. The solid refuse at 200C that leaves the furnace contains 10% carbon and 90% inert, and no hydrogen. The ash does not react.
