Description of Assignment:

Task 1:

Julie applied for the job of secretary to the Personnel Department. She was interviewed on Thursday and offered the job. She asked for the time to consider the offer and the manager asked her to give a firm reply by the end of the week. On Thursday, Julie posted a letter accepting the job. The letter was delayed and did not arrive until the following Thursday, by which time the Personnel Department had offered the job to Sally, who accepted immediately. Julie is now threatening to sue for breach of contract. What is her legal position?
Using the case above, form a discussion group and debate the issues arising in respect of Julie's case in contract law then explainin no more than 800 words,the nature and rules of an offer in contract law. Illustrate your understanding with at least one example of case law.

Task 3:A client is about to sign a contract with your company but has some questions regarding the purpose and operation of consideration and intent to create legal relations.

A) Explain to the client, in no more than 600 words the purpose and operation of consideration giving at least one example and

B) Provide a commentary on the requirement of intention to create legal relations and explain its importance.
