1. Are morals simply a society's way of defining right and wrong conduct? Explain. How can police organizations ensure their current, as well as potential, employees possess the proper level of good morals and values?

2. Do you believe that the public has little regard for laws concerning gambling and prostitution - especially since gambling, in one form or another, is legal in every state, and prostitution is legal in Nevada? 4. Examine the three amendments to the U.S. Constitution that specifically deal with a defendant's rights: the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments. Special focus will center on the purpose of the right to remain silent, a provision of the Fifth Amendment, and the various provisions of the Sixth Amendment including, but not limited to, right to counsel, right to confront witnesses, and right to a speedy trial.

5. In many occupations, such as law, medicine, and business, professional courtesies are a way of life. This week's Seminar discusses conduct that may, or may not, lead to ethical dilemmas and scandal. The discussion will also involve the implementation of the "Character Counts" programs in many municipalities.
