It has previously been established that employment that is based on sex, religion, color, national origin or race is illegal and discriminatory. The question however, is whether the Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures has ensured equal employment for all Americans (Eeoc.gov, 2015). According to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the purpose of Uniform Guidelines is to prevent or reduce discrimination in employment and to ensure every person has an equal opportunity when it comes to test, selection procedures or any other employment decision.
