When silver tarnishes, silver metal reacts with the element sulfur to form a gray deposit of Ag2S. If Ag reacts with S to form this compound, identify which element is being oxidized and which is being reduced. Explain how you know that this is true. Make sure to describe which atoms are gaining and losing electrons and explain why this happens.
