Both sector do come into a problematic stage when it comes to eCommerce, as far language goes the problem is that companies usually build their websites under their native language. Therefore, it is hard to portray the message intended once the language changes because there are some expressions or ideas that although translated don’t mean the same thing as it did under the native language. Also, languages are different from country to country, some are liberal others are conservative. For example at some cultures you could talk about racism, politics, and gender preference freely while at others you can’t. On the other hand, culture is also critical. Like language, there are problems regarding eCommerce when it comes to culture. For example, cultural barriers may not allow Carls Jr. to promote their new beef patty at a Hindu culture. As well, culture allows a clash between the supply and demand of products. For example, let’s take FIFA, FIFA is a prestigious soccer game but its content in some sort its modified within to be the most accurate to the market where it would be sold and so its publicity and online advertising.
As you respond to your classmates, discuss ways that will help mitigate the cultural or language issue.
