SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGY AND MANAGEMENT PROJECT -
Here are the headings (topics) and questions that have to be answered in the project:
1. INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY (1 - 2 pages)
- Provide a brief background of the company/firm/organization.
- Briefly discuss the industry in which the firm operates.
- Briefly discuss the organization supply chain network (provide an explanation and graphic illustration of the supply chain, including its processes).
2. COMPETITIVE AND SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGIES (1 -2 page)
- Briefly discuss the firm's competitive and supply chain strategies.
- Explain how the organization can achieve strategic fit.
3. CHALLENGES TO ACHIEVING AND MAINTAINING STRATEGIC FIT (1 page)
- Describe the major challenges that must be overcome to manage a supply chain successfully.
- Identify the major challenges that impact the firm's supply chain.
4. SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE (including drivers of supply chain performance) (1-2 pages)
- Describe the key financial measures of the organization.
- Describe the major drivers and roles of each in helping the firm to achieve strategic fit (explain why).
5. SUPPLY CHAIN NETWORK DESIGN (1 -2 page)
- Analyze the firm's supply chain network design and briefly explain trade-offs of costs elements and customer service elements.
- Evaluate the impact of globalization (if any) to the firm's supply chain, including potential risks and mitigation strategies.
6. PLANNING AND COORDINATING DEMAND AND SUPPLY IN A SUPPLY CHAIN (1 page)
- Briefly describe the firm's forecast strategy and methods.
- Briefly describe planning supply and demand in your firm's supply chain.
