Carbohydrates can serve as energy for the brain, storage energy for the muscles, and exert beneficial effects on cardiovascular health. However, unlike proteins, carbohydrates continue to be perceived as a "bad food" in the diet. Individuals believe that carbohydrates is the main cause of hyperactivity in kids and obesity, and they may go to great length to " avoid" carbohydrates. Discuss the fallacies in this thinking and what is the evidence for and against this accusation.
