Concept of Social Bond Programs

To understand this concept of social bond programs a research analysis is done. Social bond program theory was created by Travis Hirschi in 1969 and this theory is also known as Social Control Theory. The main purpose of this theory is to provide help to understand and reduce levels of criminal activities.

Social bond is basically based on a concept that there are some factors such as individual’s belief system, values, morals, commitments and relationships that substitute lawful environment. An individual who has these values, beliefs and commitments that has high level of self-control over their actions, laws and they always try to fulfill right side of law.
