In many cases, as we will learn, dicussing the case with another provider of services (e.g. the hospital) if that provider is going to give treatment is acceptable under HIPAA (privacy laws) even without consent. We will discuss that more later as well. As for the general duty to warn, the potential victim and police are the usual, in most states, target of the information. If you cannot find the victim, then just the police. Any other examples from states?
