The diameter of stabilizing O-Rings washers manaufactured at a large factory is expected to be normally distributed with a mean of 1.30 inches and a standard deviation of 0.04 inches.

What is the probability that a randomly selected washer will have a diameter of,

1) between 1.28 and 1.30 inches

2) between 1.31 and 1.33 inches

If random samples of 16 washers were selected,

3) What proportion of a sample means would be between 1.31 and 1.33 inches?

4) Compare your results in (2) and (3).
