As CFO Walgreens' the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors has charged you with the responsibility to develop an investment portfolio for the company and the first step being to present that approach that will be taken n the development of the portfolio, the involved and the factors to be considered.

INVESTMENT ANALYSIS AND PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

OVERVIEW OF STOCK AND BOND MARKET PROJECT:
As CFO Walgreens', the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors has charged you with the responsibility to develop an investment portfolio for the company and the first step being to present the approach that will betaken in the development of the portfolio, the process involved and factors considered.

Requirements:

Introduction: Length should be no more than two pages stating the approach you are going to take in the development of the portfolio and the reasons why.

Portfolio Development Approach: The factors to be considered are Financial analysis of the company (Inventory turnover, gross profit margin, times-interest-earned, profit margin ratio, rate of return, earnings per share, and debt to equity ratio) business risk, policy statement, allocation of portfolio (Reasons and Strategies), Evaluation and progress. Each factor presented shoulf be no more than two page in length.

Appendix: Use the Walgreen Co. and Subsidiaries consolidated condensed income statement and balance sheet for the Years Ended August 31, 2006-2010, in computing the financial analysis of the company.

Portfolio Development Summation: Why you believe the approach you presented is the best way to proceed. Summation should be no more than two page in length.
