Q1) From random sample of 1201 Americans, it was discovered that 62 of them lived in neighbourhoods with improper levels of carbon monoxide.

 

i) Determine the point estimate? Give the symbol and value.

 

ii) Create a 99% confidence interval for proportion of all Americans who live in a neighbourhood with improper levels of carbon monoxide

 

iii) What sample size would be required for estimate to be within 1.5 percentage points with 99% confidence if you used estimate of that was earlier obtained.

 

iv) If you wanted your confidence level to be 95%, would your sample size be larger or smaller?
