A 20-lb package is thrown with a speed of 9 ft/s onto the 100-lb cart at the given angle of 30 degrees. It slides on the smooth cart and strikes the spring. If the spring has a spring constant k= 200 lb/in, determine the veolicty of the cart at the instant the package fully compresses the spirng. What is the maximum compression of the spring? Neglect rolling resistance of the cart.
