A bullet with mass m=9.5 gram and initial velocity v=630 m/s is fired into a block (mass M = 5.4 kilogram) that is hung by two strings. The bullet quickly comes to rest in the block.

(a) Consider the conservation of linear momentum, determine the velocity of the bullet+ block system right after the impact?

(b) The bullet+ block then swing upward, their center of mass rising a vertical distance h before the system comes momentarily to rest at the end of its arc. Find out this high h?
