1) A 25KW, 250V dc shunt generator has armature and field resistances of 0.06 ohm and 100 ohm respectively, determine the total armature power developed when working (1) as a generator delivering 25KW output and (2) as a motor taking 25KW.

2) A 250v 4 pole wave wound dc series motor has 782 conductors on its armature. It has armature and series field resistance of 0.75 Ohm (armature + series winding). The motor takes a current of 40A. estimate its speed and gross torque developed if it has a flux per pole of 25mWb.
