1. The health department was able to provide a more comprehensive number of people who did and did not have cholera. According to the health department records, there were 500 students in the school. Two hundred of these students had eaten at the cafeteria, had had some sort of fruit or vegetable with their meal, and presented symptoms. One hundred and fifty students had eaten at the cafeteria but did not have any fruit or vegetable, nor were any of these students sick. Forty students had eaten at the cafeteria and were sick, but they had not eaten any fruits or vegetables.
