A block of mass mb = 0.433 kg is attached to one end of a spring and is sliding on a horizontal frictionless surface . The other end of the spring is fixed. The block executes SHM with a period of T = 0.595 s and an amplitude of A = 0.247 m. As the block slides through its equilibrium position, a wad of putty of mass mp = 0.150 kg is dropped vertically and sticks to the block. Determine the new period (in s) of the motion.
