The electric motor at A exerts a torque of 800N.m on the steel shaft from A to D. This has a torque of -300N.m at B and -500N.m at C. the dimensions are

shaft(a-b)=0.4m
shaft(b-c)=0.6m
shaft(c-d)=0.3m

Design specificaions require that the diameter of the shaft be uniform from A to D and that the angle of twist between A to D not exceed 1.5 degrees.

Knowing that the maximum shear stress must not be greater than or equals to 60Mpa, and G= 77GPa, determine the minimum diameter shaft that can be used.
