In major task you are assumed as a Digital Forensics Examiner. Considering a real or a hypothetical case you are required to produce a formal report consisting of facts from your findings to your attorney who has retained you. You are free to choose a forensics scenario which can be examination of a storage media (HDD, USB Drive etc), spoofed email, unscrambling bits, revealing information from an image or any other appropriate scenario you can think of.
Rationale
This assessment task covers data validation, e-discovery, steganography, reporting and presenting, and has been designed to ensure that you are engaging with the subject content on a regular basis. More specifically it seeks to assess your ability to:
Security mechanism, threat, GSM networks, DDoS attacks, IPv4, IPv6, IPsec integrity, authentication and privacy, IPsec AH, ‘single sign-on' in the context of access control, Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) protoco, Encryption
Consider the plain (i.e., non-padded) RSA public-key encryption scheme. Encrypt the message m = 12 using the public key pk = (N,e), where N = 35 and e = 3.
Show that a passive eavesdropper that observes a single execution of the protocol can recover key s and impersonate the tag.
Question on Security infrastructure and protocols
phase 1 communication between Alice and Bob. Suppose the raw keys consist of k bits each. What is the expected number of bits on which Alice's and Bob's raw keys agree? Explain your answer.
If you receive the ciphertext message YPHDCRPBEQTAA, decrypt to recover the plaintext. What is the decryption function, and the recovered plaintext? What type of cipher is this?

Research three recent information security breaches. Do the main targets seem to be larger or smaller companies? Is there a particular industry that seems predominately targeted?
Another variation of Additive cipher uses a keyword instead of a single key. This cipher is called Vigenere cipher. Both variations work exactly the same.
Single Sign On (SSO), Single Sign On (SSO), netstat -an, arp -a, ipconfig /displaydns, MS Config. Means, MS Config. Means, network reconnaissance
Write a research paper about data encryption techniques. Your content should include the following: Business advantages and disadvantages of full disk encryption, compared to other types of encryption techniques.
The earliest LANs used coaxial cable as a transmission medium. Over time, unshielded twisted pair wiring emerged as a better and faster medium.
