A horizontal curve on a two-lane highway is designed with a degree of curvature of 7 degree and a 50mph design speed. The coefficient of side friction for the design speed is 0.14. Deflection angle is 90 degree. Its PI station is 20+00.00. An existing building is 10 ft from the inside edge of the inside lane.
Determine :
1) Curve elements, PC and PT stations
2) Design a superelevation rate.
3) Does the building need to be relocated in order to provide sufficient stopping sight distance?
