While washing up Grandma's old aluminum cooking pot I noticed that it would just barely touch the bottom of the sink if I added 2.5 cups of water to it. The pot is 3.5 in high and 9.5 in diameter. Thickness of aluminum is 3/16 in. With the 2.5 cups of water as cargo, it displaced 1.5 in of water in the sink.

a.) Determine the weight of the pot.
