A tablet forming process is to be continuously fed with 10 kg/h of USP grade sorbitol powder when in operation. The sorbitol is supplied in 35 kg polypropylene bags with polyethylene liners, stacked 24 bags to a pallet, minimum order 20 pallets, with 45 day lead time for orders.

Design a storage and feed system for the sorbitol powder. Sorbitol has average bulk density 1.48 kg/liter, and can be assumed to have an average particle size of 200 μm.
