A piece of DNA has unwound and the ends of the two strands have begun separating for replication. Describe, in full detail, the discontinuous synthesis of the lagging strand. Draw a simple diagram with the 3' and 5' ends labeled, to show that you know which strand replicates discontinuously. Do NOT describe the unwinding process or the synthesis of the leading strand.
