Discussion 1
Describe the search processes you implemented (including search words, and databases you searched), for obtaining the papers for the SLP assignment.
Discussion 2
Search is good but.
In the last 3 modules, we asked you to look up variables you were interested in.
Please describe your experiences.
• Did the all or some variables mean the same or something different to each author?
• Were the number of indicators similar?
• Were the sample sizes similar?
How the same or similar variables are used by different researchers
Here is an example of A mate work.
Discussion 1
The research process I implemented was based on keywords and areas of research I am interested in studying. A particular word that was significantly different in the established investigation is "subculture" or "organizational subculture".
The words were identified in different studies as "ward", "groups", and "operational sections". Therefore, the searching process has been challenging to say the least.
Another enlightening experience in the researching process is using the correct searching approach that can include "advanced searching" which the investigator can identify words in literature or title.
Discussion 2
The experience associated with searching for variables is similar as stated above in the first part of this discussion. As stated, subculture was interpreted differently in different studies. I did not find any issues with commitment, turnover, and embeddedness. Other than the subcultural variables other variables were similar in construct and indicators.
However, there was a significant difference between total embeddedness, (Mitchell, Holtom, Lee, Sablynski, & Erez, 2001) and global embeddedness, (Crossley & Bennett, 2007).
The same size in sampled studies was of similar composition at the start of data collection. However, it seems that the returned surveys were not as substantial as originally proposed.
It is proposed that more research is conducted to be supporting the proposed variables selected for the dissertation. It is important to assess the reliability and validity at the different levels of Measurement Instrument and Measurement Model analysis, (Angeles, 2018).
