While referring to organizational approach towards stress management it would mean the efforts put in by the organization towards reducing levels of stress amongst its employees. We shall examine three types of approaches used by organizations to counter stress (Rao, 2008).
Setting of objectives
While making key performance indicators for employees, managements should always bear in mind that the goals/objectives provided to individuals should be perceivably achievable ones. The use of goals and or objectives by itself is aimed at keeping employees engaged and far from being disarrayed. In situations where goals are absent there can be severe cause of disarray leading to unwanted stressful situations. Feedback on goals and objectives also helps in organizations to keep their employees away from being stressed. For example in large software companies every employee in the organization is given key performance indicators and periodical feedback is undertaken regarding the effectiveness in implementation of the key performance indicators of the employees.
