Describe a specific example of global operations, including the company name, business, activities, etc.
For example: GE (General Electric) is a good example of global operations because they are largely known for their production of products and jet engines worldwide. By expanding globally, GE can attain new profit opportunities. New profit opportunities range from lower cost from outsourcing to expansion of financial and industrial sectors. Both of these activities contribute to lower prices for the United States and reduction of financing costs.
For example: Procter & Gamble (P&G), is a widely-known successful international organization with global operations. P&G currently operates in approximately 80 countries, and their products are sold to consumers in roughly 180 countries. Their five regions include Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America, North America, and Western Europe. By having a presence in these five regions, P&G is able to have a quicker response to their market demands and local consumers. Their differentiation sets them apart from other companies supplying household brands and everyday products.
For example:
Samsung is a prime example of a company that has global operations all over the world. Samsung is an electronics company based in South Korea that manufactures electronics such as the Samsung Phones and Samsung TVs just to name a few. Their brand is not exclusive to South Korea as countries such as the states carry their brand of electronics. Samsung has 28.8% of Shares in the smartphone market making them #1.
