Ever-expanding technology is creating global economies rather than national economies; thus, at least some of the contributing economies are not based on the American notion of Capitalism. As economies become increasingly global and consequences for corporate acts have global consequences, does the concept of CSR become increasingly important? Please explain your position and provide supporting examples. 2. Elements of CSR date back to the mid-Nineteenth Century. What is now known as CSR originated in the 1950s in American corporations and gained increasing significance in the socially-turbulent times of the 1960s and 1970s. Based on the social issues confronting corporations today, do you feel that CSR is more or less important? Please explain your position and provide supporting examples. Please also address your position on CSR and note your company's position on CSR.
