Question: Birth control' is any thing that stop a woman or girl from becoming pregnant, or giving birth. Birth control can mean a wide range of things - from 'contraceptives' (used to reduce the chances of a woman becoming pregnant) to other ways of avoiding pregnancy, like not having sex. Contraceptives work by preventing a man's sperm from fertilizing a woman's egg, and can be done in several different ways. Students typically have a problem in distinguishing the difference between these two. Describe at least two methods of each and then explain why these are so easily confused.
