For this unit, you will choose one of the options below and write an analysis of a text. ("Text" includesnot just written works, but also print ads and TV commercials.) Analysis is concerned with how meaningis conveyed, and in your essay, you will be asked to explain how a particular text, or series of texts, getsits point across. You will have to make sure you do not simply answer the questions listed with theoption you choose. Instead, you should consider the questions as you conduct your analysis, and useyour responses to help shape your thesis. As you write, keep in mind the guide to writing analyses fromthe NFG.Papers should be 3-4 pages double-spaced, and should follow the full formatting guidelines outlined onthe syllabus.
