Three groups of students agree to participate in a study of the effect of music on reading comprehension. The participants in each group take a Nelson-Denny reading skills test under different conditions. One group listens to rock music while taking the test. A second group takes the test while listening to classical music and a third does not listen to any music while taking a test. Their scores are presented below:
