In order to determine experimentally the specific heat of lead, a student weighs 150.0 g of lead shot. This sample is first heated to 100.0 degrees C, then added to a coffee cup calorimeter containing 35.0 g of water at 20.8 degrees C. The highest temperature observed is 31.0 degrees Celcius.

a) Calculate the specific Heat of the lead (please show work)

b) The theoretical value is 0.128 J/g. degree C. What is the % error?
