Compose an 800-1000 word essay (3-4 Pages MAXIMUM) in which you observe a specific person, place, object, or event. Your goal is to show how concrete, observed details create dominant ideas about the person, place, object, or event, and to teach the reader what you have learned as a result of the observations. In other words, use description to show us a person, place, object, or event and help us understand its significance to you. Use the essays and exercises we read in class as models. Remember to evoke visual, auditory, gustatory, tactile, kinesthetic, and other forms of descriptions that are appropriate to what you are writing about.
