Case Study (Robotics)

Complete a assignment on the analysis, modelling and classification of one of the following classes of mechanisms encountered in robotics and industrial/daily applications. For each class of mechanisms, current mechanisms are to be reviewed. The working principles are to be explained. The comparisons of mechanisms, including the degree-of-freedom, characteristics and applications should be given. Improved design, if any, may also be proposed. You are also encouraged to present mechanisms, which might be out of the scope of the knowledge you've learned so far, for discussion. In addition, each individual should complete a CAD model of one mechanism and simulate the motion of the mechanism using any software you prefer. Each assignment will be assessed by both assignment report and
oral presentation.
