A steel rod to which three disks are attached is shown below. The rod is fixed against rotation at its left end, but free to rotate in a bearing at its right end. Each disk is 300mm in diameter. Calculate the maximum shear stress in each segment of the rod. What is the angle of twist of section A relative to the fixed section E? Also draw a diagram for the angle of twist vs. position, showing the angle of twist for every position in the rod. (G=80Gpa)
