A 6-ft-long cantilever beam is subjected to a concentrated load of 5 kips acting at its free end. Calculate the maximum deflection at the free end if the beam is

(b) a W10×22 structural steel wide-flange shape;

(c) an 8-in. nominal diameter extrastrong steel pipe. Use the formula method.
