A telephoto lens consists of a converging front lens of focal length f1 and diverging back lens of focal length f2 separated by a distance d. This creates a large image near the back of the diverging lens. For an object at infinity, compute the distance of the image from the diverging lens. Compute the effective focal length of the lens system (assume the distance between the lenses is much smaller than their focal lengths.
