Assessment Task 2 - Role Play
Assessment Task 2 will be conducted in the format of a role play. This will happen in two parts. At the end of the role play feedback will be collected from all participants (Annex 1). Further the student will complete a self-reflection (Annex 2). In addition, the assessor will provide a detailed feedback (Annex 3). Details of each part of the role and all criteria for evaluation (Annex 1, 2, 3) will be provided to the student prior to the assessment.
Part A: This is a group activity. Working in groups of 5, students will collaboratively delegate one topic for each team member. Then the student will act as the leader in educating their team members on the chosen topic.

Part B: This is a role play in two acts. Students will take turns in playing the role of HR Manager. The team members will play project team leaders.
Assessment Task 3 - Assignment
In this task, student will continue in the role of the HR Manager of Zing Technologies (refer Assessment Task 2 Part B)
Scenario: As the HR Manager you have decided to create a core team for promoting and enforcing the HR flexibility policy. In addition, you have decided to draft an informative brochure for all team leaders.
Details for the task: Draft the content for a brochure for Zing Technologies, a handy guide for all team leaders. Your brochure should include:
- The organisational direction and values
- An analysis of the significance of leaders in managing change
- A contextualised analysis of transformation and transactional leadership styles
- Analysis of the concepts of capacity and competence during change
- The learning and communication approach for the change. This should include the feedback process.
- Any perceived risks and steps to mitigate those risks.
- The significance of compliance
- Relevant legislation
Assessment Task 4 - Report
In this task student will write a detailed reflective report.
