A beaker of water comprises a thermodynamic system. The system undergoes a process in which the system loses 14KJ of heat to the surroundings while the surrounding performs 20KJ of work on the system. 

In the above scenario, t he surrounding performed 20KJ of work on the system. How much heat would the system have to have gained or lost in order for the internal energy of the system to have remained constant throughout the process. You must show all work and be explicit about whether and how much heat the system gained or lost.
