A recent study found that the average age of people who watch the evening news is 39 years old. We suspect that the actual average age is greater than this. We survey 48 viewers of the evening news and we find that their average age is 43. Is this sufficient evidence to suggest that the age of people who watch the evening news is greater than what was reported? Standard deviation of 11 years and significance level of .10.
