The enormous costs of a security breach may not convince companies that they need rigorous security policy monitoring and training. Many firms concentrate on the wrong questions and end up throwing a great deal of money and time at minimal security risks while ignoring major vulnerabilities. Breaches of security can occur almost anywhere as evidenced by the numerous reports over the course of the last few years.

Disasters may occur without warning so the best defense is to be prepared. An important element in any security system is the business continuity plan, also known as the disaster recovery plan. Such a plan outlines the process by which businesses should recover from a major disaster. In this week's Discussion you will analyze a recent system security breach.

Post by Day 2 an analysis of the security system incident. Give a summary of the incident. Analyze what weaknesses and vulnerabilities allowed the situation to occur and what systemic changes you think would help the organization to manage its security more effectively.
