An automatic drug delivery system is used in the regulation of critical care patients suffering from cardiac failure [24]. The goal is to maintain stable patient status within narrow bounds. Consider the use of a drug delivery system for the regulation of blood pressure by the infusion of a drug. The feedback control system is shown in Figure DP9.3.
