South Community Hospital is a new hospital that is opening January 2. The facility will have an active clinic and Emergency Room in addition to inpatient services. Unfortunately, it will not have an EHR when it opens because of budget constraints. You have been hired as the HIM Director. You are developing a filing system and determining the number of shelves and the like that you will need. The hospital has asked you to keep hard copy records for 4 years.
