One has to be passionate on and excited about pursuing a career in the sport industry or in sport in general. To begin with such a career, for most sport management students, internship becomes the most common and practical path. However, as widely known and accepted in sport management internship programs, few interns are paid, even for a minimum wage.

Provide your analysis of such phenomenon why it is as it is (with evidences for comparisons to other industries’ situation would be a plus);
